ME
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas (dare I say, CARROLLTON) and shall carry with me for the rest of my days, nostalgia for hot summer nights, drives down suburban roads, mixed CDs and too many day dreams to keep track of. I moved to Evansville, Indiana on a whim and went to the UNIVERSITY OF EVANSVILLE for a BFA in theatre performance. There I learned many things: what autumns actually look like as it falls on you and you walk through it, what the sun looks like after an all night conversation, and how to dance like you mean it. I moved to the east coast thereafter, in pursuit of lobster and art... and I found both. I went to graduate school at BROWN UNIVERSITY/TRINITY REP COMPANY and got an MFA in acting (or rigorous personal excavation). I found out a couple of things about myself, and more than anything I found great love for this work. Dun dun dun... then, NEW YORK CITY. As a refugee in this urban metropolis, I am looking for many things: art, community, success, career, soul, a life that makes sense, the ground, the sky, a calm heart, a driven heart, support, awe, inspiration, poetry, story, and countless other things. Sometimes, I dream about Cambodia. And I wonder what of that place is still inside of me. And what it'll be like to actually go there. (Guess what? I went.) B I'm in love with my favorite person, and my dog Lucy O licks my face every morning. So... life.
